Sometimes truer words were never spoken

~from my mailbox~

I Believe...

That just because two people argue,

It doesn't mean they don't love each other.

And just because they don't argue,
It doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if
We understand that friends change.

I Believe....
That no matter how good a friend is,
They're going to hurt you every once in a while
And you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow,
Even over the longest distance.

Same goes for true love.

I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant
That will give you heartache for life.

I Believe....
That it's taking me a long time
To become the person I want to be.

I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with
Loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe....
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe....
That we are responsible for what
We do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe...
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs
To be done, regardless of the consequences.

I Believe....
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down
Will be the ones to help you get back up
.

I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
But that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe....
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had
And what you've learned from them and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe....
That it isn't always enough,
To be forgiven by others.

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken

The world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe....
That our background and circumstances
May have influenced who we are,
But, we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager to find
out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I Believe....
Two people can look at the exact same
Thing and see something totally different.

I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of
Hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give,
When a friend cries out to you -
You will find the strength to help.

I Believe...
That credentials on the wall
Do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...
That the people you care about most in life
Are taken from you too soon.

The happiest of people don't necessarily
Have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything they have.

Inspiring sight

Few days ago aku ter tengok gambo graduation member aku kat NZ. Bukan dia yg grad, kawan dia yg grad tp dia ada kat situ la. Aku punyer ler emo and tersentuh hati tengok gambo2 akak tu yg aku tak kenai pon dia. Even though i dont know her, i was so proud of her achievement that it brought tears to my eyes while browsing her photos. I then quickly thought to myself why would i have tears of proud for someone i barely know? hrmm.....after awhile, it occured to me that probably because i know what she SURELY went thru to be there, in her graduation gown, holding her scroll, parading with the rest of the whites heading towards the commencement hall and of course, smiling widely and sweetly ever. She had made it thru the ups and downs, the joys and sorrows, and thru that long journey to be holding that scroll. She just graduated from her PhD study and that graduation sight was truly inspiring!! If people can do it why can't we, yes? My day will come!

Sambungan citer Tasmania

ayyoo this story is so basi already. But will finish it anyway. WARNING: LONG ENTRY! hheheeh

So, 3rd day what happened? what?? hahaa lupa daaaa *icon open up picture file to help me out..see?? that's the whole idea of taking piccas like there's no tomorrow! :P

Alright, this morning the plan was to drive across to the west side of Tasmania and climb up the famous amos cradle mountain. Cradle mountain is indeed a must-go place for everybody who visit Tasmania (tu diahh pepandai cakap must go ek hehehe but that's what i thot). Neway, it was a long drive as we were at the north east side of the island (Bicheno) the night before. It took about ermm 4 hours to cross from east to west of the island, along the way we stopped by at some beaches and one of them is the ever unique and picturesque Bay of Fires (piccas will come in another entry after this one). Reached cradle mountain perhaps sometime after lunch time...everybody was so excited and jakun of the uniqueness of the mountain look from afar. It was such a beauty!! Truly a not-to-be missed sight to view! The uniqueness of this tourist spot is it has a lake in between the mountains. I think it's somewhat similar to the ones in NZ, i think so.

Anyway, we were rushing to catch the next shuttle up to the mountain area. It was sunny but cold due to its mountain area. The walk around the Dove Lake supposed to take about 2.5 hours if we do it non stop...but hey of course there'll be thousand times of stops aye? for piccas, for viewing and what not hehehe. So altogether it took us around ermm ahh cant remember hahaha. Neway, as usual tracks, waterfalls, wombats, wallabies were what we came across along the walk.

Finished with that, we continue on a bit with the Enchanted walk, it was a kind of cooling down kind of walk with only 20 minutes prescribed to do so. By then it was already noon around ermm 6pm? Took photos and went off, sooo sejuk! We drove to our next motel which is in Strahan if i' not mistaken. Stopped at this seafood restaurant for our dinner, an expensive restaurant i would say. The reason is because, it was easter holiday and not many restaurants were opened and that place was a tourist area hence, oh well tourist would prefer to eat out than cook yes?. It is also expensive probably due to its situated just by the seaside...which we only got to know after we read the brochure! it was already dark when we got there, cant see anything plus we were so hungry hehehe. The house was full with customers, we had to wait like half an hour to place our order and wait another half an hour for our meals. The meal for amran and I alone cost about $60 dollars. However i thot the wait was sweet though as so many stories were shared among us and the laugh we had, shoved away our hunger and tiredness.

Next day, we went to cruise along the Gordon River, at Strahan town. The cruise that's complete with free coffeebar in it and inclusive of buffet lunch, took about 6 hours with ermm 2 stops at the World Heritage Landing and Sarah Island. World Heritage Landing is basically a place, simple one at that but quite charming with its greens that i'm sure the whites like most. Sarah Island is an island that started off as a place to build wooden boat using cheap labor, the convicts who else. Thus they have prisons and sorts in Sarah Island as well. At present, the place no longer operates as it was and hence there were remnants of buildings. A tall man who was the narrator, told us history of the island and he's better than the one we had in Port Arthur coz he's more lively with good sense of humor. And the cruise and its sight?? it was splendid!!

Done with that, we went off to our next place for the night...that's somewhere in ermmm.....Sheffield. Final day, we dropped by at Tazmazia and lavendar farm, then off to Launceston where we'd depart home. Stopped at the Cataract Gorge, a park and ride on the basin chairlift and then off to the airport, return our rental car..had our last meal at Launceston airport and yeapppp that was it!!

Selingan 2 yg sangat random

hehe..selingan sebab break jap from Tassie nyer citer...haihh maleh beno nak menulih...and rasa lama betui tak bebel2 hal yg random...

neway, hrmm......as far as my study goes, it pretty much move although at a slow rate..hihi...slow laa...macam ala2 pelan2 nak dapat balik momentum kojer....tp, ok so far alhamdulillah..i mean, work progress itself ok laa...cuma akhir2 ni semakin kerap aku rasa tension, rasa bosan, rasa stress sgt and the sorts ngan study aku nih...adehhh...ingat agik dulu2 masa masuk peringkat awal study ni...senior2 or depa2 dok pesan...pilih topik yg kita minat...jgn pilih topik sebab terpaksa rela oleh sv...sbb kita kena endure nengok menda alah tu for 3 or 4 years! hehe..sampai this point aku rasa betul pesanan2 org terdahulu tu...yerlah depa lagi awal makan garam kan? aku ni pon bersyukur banyak sbb aku buat topik yg aku pilih, yg aku gemor dan aku rasa kena ngan interest and lifestyle aku....alangkan itu pon, at this point perasaan muak tu dah makin bertambah2, makin kerap makin tak lalu nak ngadap..bayangkan kalau buat topik yg bukan kita pilih, ndak, minat? huhu..ingat tu saper2 yg nak further study and cari topik thesis esok2.

and also betul...makin nak ke hujung, makin byk cabaran, makin dalam dugaan nya..aduihh...dan maka memang kena lagi kuat semangat..aku yg ingat selama ni sorang yg kuat semangat dah..nahhh..at this point, stage baru aku tau seciput mana jer semangat yg aku ada slama ni..kekuatan tu pon dah di hujung2 tanduk...but thank God jugak lah..ada masa2nya aku lepas2 kan luah2kan pada kengkawan..ada yg sudi dengar....kadang2 aku pkir bukannya aku nakkan depa ni buley setel kan masalah aku, yerlah probably cannot sbb bukan berada di tempat aku nih....tapi sekadar boleh mendengar dan up kan semangat aku ni pon aku dah bersyukur banyak..and yes, motivation aku mmg semakin kuat turun naik tak tentu hala nya dah pelan nak ke hujung nih..aduhaiii..aku doa2 semangat dan ketabahan tu bertahannnn laa sampai aku siap sok....sigh...

aku penah sembang ngan member.. aku kata, dugaan study aku yg ni mmg lain macam sangat ngan dugaan2 lain yg aku penah alami...ntahlah...betullah study ni deep la..i mean deep in every sense of the word.....tak kira lah dari segi academic or non academic.....baik dari segi knowledge, skills, self esteem, self realization, determination and all....hollistic lah lebih kurang and i also learn something, to just face my fear. aku ni takot sangat nak face my fears..ada la menda2 fear aku...and aku mmg jenis elak sgt fear aku nih.....but at some point kadang kita kena terjah jugak kan.....and tu lah tengok2 bila dah lalui tengok2 takdak apa pon...ok jaa sumernyer kan....

oklah..apa2 jer aku citer nih....sajer lepas gian citer2..and owh btw, dah dapat reply from sponsor and study extension yg aku apply for 6 mths haritu dah approved..so officially i'm on a borrowed time til end of january 2011. tu pon haiiii entahlahhhhh.....hihihi....doakan aku boleh meet dateline ni eks...

Tasmanian adventure, day 2

I have classes to attend very soon, so will update on this once i'm done. *peaceeee ;)*
*****
[updating at 2.30 pm]

So, where were we? ahh day 2.

Day 2, the whole refreshed bunch of us eagerly went to port arthur, used to be a convict (banduan) site. It was a huge area, a peaceful spread of greens with some highlights of those yellowish, brownish and reddish colored trees (it's autumn remember) ,that makes the site even more enchanting and of course the core products of port arthur, remnants of the buildings. The sun shines brightly that day and the weather was promising with occasional cool autumn breeze softly blowing that makes the day perfect for sightseeing. We then followed the tour guide talk, but only half way through as he talked too much of side information. Well...to those who are interested with no time constrain, it should be good and informative to listen to him.

We however only listened halfway, a couple of us then moved away from the group and began our own sightseeing and picca-taking of course!. I like that place..oh well..dunno why ex convict area has always interests me..what is that supposed to mean? hahaha ex convict AREA, not ex convict btw heheheh. Neway, there were remnant buildings of hospital, barracks, commandant house and of course the prison and yeap some others that i missed visiting as the area was so huge, we couldnt possibly cover everything in a mere half day. Convicts were sent to port arthur in 1800++ and though the place no longer operates as it used to be, it has been re-developed for tourists and locals to have an insight of what it was like back then. Some of the buildings were in fact still under construction in an effort to keep the history intact. The police station and commandant's house for instance maintained as they were, while some artifacts found on the site were also displayed.

We visited the prison, looked at the very small cells. There were performance that supposed to mimic prisoners and their activities but yeah missed that too. Lastly we went to the punishment room (bilik hukuman mati). It was a very small cubicle as well and dark, totally dark. We cant see anything as it's blackened by no single space for light to come in. But amran brought his torchlight and being a curious person, he on it and yeah..nothing. I didnt take picca of that room as i'm afraid 'something' would appear in that picca later hahaha :P yer lahhh bilik hukuman mati kannn...in fact, i didnt even step into the room, i dare not! amran did of course! Neway, then we were brought on a cruise to take a view around that historical site....it was nice, no payment needed for the cruise as it has already been included in the entrance fee.

Done with that, we then drove off to freycinet national park..to walk up to view the wineglass bay. To me, this climb up was harder than yesterday's (tahune airwalk) coz the steps were steeper..mek lelah ok haha :P. To compensate that, the view from top was much more superb than the one in tahune. Spent only sometime there coz there were many more incoming visitors and soon that space became too crowded as everybody wants to take picca and view of the wineglass bay. Myself, I spent quite sometime quietly savouring the ocean view from top. It's not ordinary for me to do such activity plus the climb up was a level 3 and that's extreme already for me! heheehe therefore i want to make it worth it. So i stand on the bench alone and quietly watch the blue turquoise ocean from afar and yeap at the same time acknowledging God's great creation....

Once done, we went down and then straight to bicheno to retire for the night.

Okay, piccas will come up soon..should be today..or perhaps tomorrow see how.

Tasmanian adventure, day 1

Before the tendency for me to forget of my beautiful memories in tassie, i'd better start writing. I'm just too lazy folks to jot them down here but i think i should for my own record and also to share with u. So here goes.

Day 1, 1/4 Thursday

We depart from sydney, transit in melbourne and arrived in hobart somewhere around 9.30am with virginblue flyer. Everything went smooth, took our rental car kia karnival at the airport and went straight to hobart city for brief sightseeing and also to get something to eat. We stopped at salamanca market, walked around, took piccas, and stopped somewhere at hobart harbour or bay or something and had seafood. The servings for one were huge!

After kenyang, we drove to greeveston where we'd be doing our tahune airwalk. We reached there sometime after lunch time, paid and went in. It was a nice warm up walk, the climb up was moderate, we bumped into cute small wallaby and then just went up straight. You see, tasmania is an island that's very well known for its nature. The place looked like a laid-back, away from too much hustle bustle of a city, even both airports (hobart and launceston) are small and relaxed. Nature means, full with its preserved forest, wide spread of its beautiful beaches and scenic views of the turquoise ocean. Preserved means, in the heart of nowhere forest..there lies beautiful lookouts that you only get to see if you brave yourself to walk through that nowhere forest. Fret not, it's not that difficult coz tracks and all are well prepared for tourist. Like i said, it's nature is tassie's highlight..so the signboards, tracks, reminders, directions are well written everywhere along the way. I think it's not really meant to be a real hiking spot but more to leisure walk for tourist to feel safe and enjoy their walks.

So we walked. There were stoned- and wooden-made stairs as well along the way. In the midst the tahune airwalk activity, we crossed a beautiful huon river through swinging bridge (jambatan gantung) and also tree top bridge. The swinging bridge, well i guess we had that everywhere in malaysia but because i dont do that often back then, so i find this kind of exciting. It was a long bridge that crossed a river and yes, it swings!! hence the name hehehe. Owh btw, the walk was named airwalk coz somewhere in the midst of it, we'll walk on a bridge that's situated on top of all those beautiful colored trees the forest owned. So it's kind of like we have the feeling of walking at the tip of the trees...hence the name, tree top walk. The view from top was nice i assure you! And therefore photos and more photos heheheh

After about 2 or 3 hours (i think,) we successfully did that and drove then to port arthur, our next activity in the itinerary. By then it was already almost dark..almost..coz it's mid autumn so the day time has gone shorter than before. We drove to port arthur to check in for the night and also our next day;s agenda is visiting port arthur's historical sites.

Arrived at the motel around 8ish pm and along the way it's so dark with no street lights coz it was a country side area. Amran took the role of driver for that day and i think during that night drive, the guys still chat this and that while the ladies all peacefully dozed off already haha. When we reached our motel front, it looked like such a haunted area to drive into hehehehe...all of us ladies have their own thots like being cheated, 'something something' with that house and the sorts hehehee..however when all light's were on, it turned out to be such a nice cozy house..very modern inside...we unpacked our food, maggi and fish fingers..fried those, prepared maggi and made hot drinks for all. Everything ready, all 6 of us sat down, had our simple dinner and chit chat. It was nice, the memories. After awhile, all of us retired for the day. Owh btw, it was so chilly that day and that area. In fact, throughout our stay in tassie, the weather was so sejuk!!

*icon scroll up, it's already too long an entry eh? stop sini lah dulu*
*piccas petang kang ah letak, to match this day 1 stories*
