An event we'll never forget

The event: BBQ lite & easy
The date : 9/11/08 - Sunday
The place: Maroubra beach
The participants: +-50 ppl merangkumi yg baru, yg tak baper nak baru serta senior
The food: pro-rate of 7kgs each lauk plus other varieties
The collection: $7.50 each adult
The memory: priceless!!

The idea datang secara tidak dijangka...masa the small of crowd of us gi malabar beach haritu. So, i work out the plan in order to materialize it with the initial participants hanya 8 org sajer. I started the email invitation to these 8 ppl but of course dgn satu clause tambahan iaitu, all are welcome to invite whoever they feel like inviting. Konsepnyer - lite & easy, a sempoi kind of gathering, no restriction, no pressure, no rules..just lepaks kind of gathering. So, one lead to another to another to another.. and in the end the crowd was 38 adults with their kids that total up to almost 50 altogether. What a blast!! I, on the other hand, didnt invite anybody selain dari yg asal 8 org ittew. I let the rest do the networking and word of mouth invitation. Free and easy gitu. Only last last minute, I fwded the initial email to Is, my ex neighbour when I realized towards the end, nama nyer takdak kat email list tu and that's all. The email went round across different suburbs so go figure pada yg tak ter-invite oleh sesaper ahaks! ahaks!

Food utama adalah bbq seafood..hanya ni yg di collect duit..yg lelain sumer on volunteer sesaper nak bawak. Very supportive and participative memasing..Hari sabtu, aku and cikpah ngan partner memasing ke paddy's memborong like what i told in earlier entry. Lepas tu, aku deliver ke umah2 yg dah volunteer utk marinate. Seperti yg dicakapkan tadi, no rules.. blasahh ajer nak marinate camno pon.. and true enough! pelbagai saiz, kaler dan rasa! brilliant!! Food sampingan pulak of course penuh meja tuh...which last last berlambak lagi lebih sbb agaknye sumer pulun lauk pauk *which still lebih berlambak gaks*. So memasing pakat tapau food lebihan. Everybody was saved from cooking dinner huhuuu.

Since aku keluokan sumer belanja dulu prior to the event, maka pada hari kejadian aku jadik ceti la pulaks kan buat collection yg mana jumlahnyer telah dibajetkan pada sumer participants terlebih dahulu thru email. Wai nolong pegang duit tuh. So smlm tuh, aku selain bz greeting ppl, makan, sembang, goss..turut gaks bz collect duit kekekeke.

Amran and gjoule boleh dikatakan ahli tetap yg dok didepan bbq pot tuh hehe committed abes! huhuu. Tp tempat nih mmg penuh ngan guys ler. The ladies hanya kerumun situ time nak hambik lauk or time nak ber-pose-pose gittew! kekeekek dasar!!

Ni dah towards the end bila memasing dah nak chalo sbb parking limit...4 hours free parking...so adegan tapau-menapau.

Ni pulak adegan cleaning-in-action. Keroje org laki.

Yang ni all ladies yg ada. Gambo sumer2 skali ngan guys aku takdok.... nanti nak kena rembat dari cikpah. Minah tu lom haplod lagik.

All in all, i would say very der meriahs..alhamdulillah..rasa-rasanya takde cacat celanya smlm.... cuaca jugak alhamdulillah mmg menyebelahi we all.. very sunny smlm! *agaknyer farid sunggoh2 kot buat semayang hajat for good weather smlm ahaks! if so, thanks dude!*. And of course, thanks a zillion to cikpah and gjoule for the help..sangat sangat!! I didnt do much actually..i was merely initiating and help out organizing.. the rest was all others' effort!
